Today the entire excavation site is uncovered in all its glory!

Today we are making an updated photogrammetry (3D) model of the ship and the surrounding area.
This is what the excavation site looks like when completely uncovered. Here we see (from the left) Karine, Vegard, Per, Anne, and Magnus surface cleaning around the ship. In the back, Ruben is standing by the conservation table. Photo: Margrethe K. H. Havgar/KHM
For that reason we uncovered the whole site and surface cleaned it all, so every nook and cranny was neat and clean for the model.

Photogrammetry is a method we use quite a lot, as the 3D-models gives such detailed information, both for us and for the public. We want to make as many of these models available to you as quickly as possible, and some are already released! You can check them out here.
